Do NOT apply lotion prior to treatment, as dry skin is more effective for stimulating the stretch response needed by lymph vessels.

For general wellness, once every 3 months. After surgery of injury, 2 to 3 times a week until swelling is significantly reduced. For people with active lifestyles or athletes: anywhere from once a week to monthly to aid in muscle recovery.

You may notice no side effects. Some mild side effects can include fatigue, increase in urination, or headaches as toxins in the lymph and body are being expelled.

Conditions in which lymphatic massage are not recommended include: acute infections, heart conditions (CHF), renal failure, blood clots (venous thrombosis), radiation dermatitis, unstable hypertension, hepatic cirrhosis and untreated tuberculosis or malaria.
